Event or Special Event Insurance: A Special Event is usually defined as a function of short duration or a function that is not permanently ongoing. Perhaps it would be for a day or a month, but the key is that the function location is not permanent and the period of time it will happen is not indefinite.
Typically, the venues will require General Liability for the event and the Venue will be required to be named as additional insured on the policy.
There are many options to the coverages offered, but it will include General Liability. It can also include reimbursements if the event needs to be postponed or canceled (due to circumstances beyond your control), damage or loss of your property or guest property, liquor liability, and even coverage for set up and/or taking down of event materials.
